Coach transfer to Chișinău airport

Chișinău is the closest foreign airport we serve, and for groups from southern and central Ukraine it is often the quickest way to get in the air.

The airport and the road

Chișinău International is about 13 km south-east of the city centre. There is a single terminal.

From Kyiv the drive takes roughly 8 to 11 hours, appreciably less than to the Polish airports. That is why this route is often chosen when a flight leaves the following morning and there is no longer time to reach Kraków or Warsaw.

Worth knowing in advance

  • Moldova is in neither the EU nor the Schengen area, so the crossing works differently from the Polish route. Ukrainian citizens need no visa.
  • If Chișinău is only a connection and you fly onward into Schengen, the three-month passport rule still applies. Count from the return date, not the departure.
  • Minors need a separate set of documents, agreed in advance.
  • Starlink runs for the whole journey.

The coach

A Setra S 416 GT-HD with 57 passenger seats: Starlink Wi-Fi, 220 V sockets and USB at the seats, Webasto climate control, toilet, fridge, two screens. Ministry of Transport international licence since 2012, carrying passengers since 1998.

Common questions

Is a visa needed for Moldova?

Not for Ukrainian citizens. But if Chișinău is only a connection for you, the rules that matter are those of your final destination, not Moldova’s.

How much time should we allow for the border?

Queues here are usually shorter than on the Polish route, though never predictable in advance. We leave with slack either way.

What does a transfer to Chișinău cost?

It depends on the departure city, the date and the number of passengers. Send the details and we will quote it and confirm the date.

Ask for a price

The price depends on the departure city, the date, the flight time and the number of passengers. Write or call and we will quote it and confirm the date is free.
